“Oslo Konserveringatelier AS is owned and operated by the painting conservators Ingjerd Kleiva and Fredrik Jong. The conservators at the studio have experience from several museums and cultural institutions both in Norway and abroad, and of course have approved membership in the Nordic Conservators’ Association (Nordisk Konservatorforbund, NKF-N).

Painting conservator Ingjerd Kleiva specializes in the conservation of paintings and painted surfaces. She has previous experience with conservation and condition assessment from several museums and cultural institutions, including Nationalmuseet in Copenhagen, Nasjonalmuseet in Norway, Akershusmuseene and NIKU. Ingjerd has her master’s degree in painting conservation from the University of Oslo. There she also worked as a research assistant for one year after graduation, on a project related to the conservation of Edvard Munch’s art.

Painting conservator Fredrik Jong specializes in the conservation of paintings and painted surfaces. He worked for several years for the Munch Museum and has experience in conservation and condition assessment from Henie Onstad Kunstsenter and the National Gallery of Canada. Fredrik has his master’s degree in painting conservation from the University of Oslo.”
