“Frysja Kunstnersenter is an artist community established in O. Mustad and Søn’s old factory buildings by the upper part of Akerselva in Oslo. The artist center is owned by the municipality of Oslo and administered by the municipal culture agency. The studios are subsidized by the municipality and currently provide workplaces for 53 professional artists. An award committee consisting of craft artists, visual artists, and representatives from the municipal culture agency allocates the premises upon application.”
