“The Norwegian Sculptors Society (NBF) was founded in 1946 and is a nationwide artist organization and artistic competence center for sculpture. Since 1967 NBF has been based in Villa Furulund, at Hekkveien 5 in Oslo. Villa Furulund contains three viewing rooms of a total of 110 sqm in addition to a dissemination room, an office, a dormitory for rent and a studio apartment. The sculpture park that surrounds the house is a total of 4 acres. NBF has around 400 members and includes most of the professional visual artists who work within the discipline of sculpture: across genres and artistic position. NBF covers and represents the entire three-dimensional field. After 2 years of upgrading, NBF opened a professional gallery for three-dimensional art in Villa Furulund in 2018.”
